650 parliamentary constituencies coloured, when a change in representation has occurred (Appendix C) on an equal electorate cartogram — software by author on an Archimedes computer.

The group of Labour losses in London at the 1987 general election is clear. The general distribution of changes is interesting, being especially dense in Scotland.
