The changing distribution of first place party in Britain, 1983-1987 (Colour).

650 parliamentary constituencies coloured, when a change in representation has occurred (Appendix C) on an equal electorate cartogram software by author on an Archimedes computer.

A simple glyph was used to try and show which seats have changed hands from whom to whom. The colour of the losing party is shown on the outside, the winning party on the inside. The group of Labour losses in London at the 1987 general election is clear. The general distribution of changes is interesting, being especially dense in Scotland.
