Migration flows between family practitioner areas of 1 in 200 people.

Flows between 1975 and 1976 drawn between the 97 areas from the national information system, on an equal population cartogram software by author on an Archimedes computer.

With a threshold of half of one percent only the exceptionally strong migration streams between this number of places are shown. Most are between London boroughs, linked together in a network, but a few other links can be seen scattered about the country. Over the next few plates is illustrated the extent to which different regions are isolated from each other in terms of these flows.
